I enjoy looking at my little one’s pictures. They tell a story about his life. More importantly, they keep me grateful to be a wife and mother. Those pictures keep me thankful to God for the little one’s health. They also keep me in awe of God’s greatness.
The Yorubas in West Africa do say “Eni ba mo inu ro lo mope da”. Meaning, anyone who can think deeply will certainly be thankful. I get lost in deep thought when I go through the little one’s pictures and those moments bring me to a place of gratitude. I get to reflect on how far the little one has come, how much he has grown, the changes….what a wonder!! May I never lose this wonder.
As the year comes to an end, I am filled with gratitude to God for 2018. There were moments of disappointments, particularly with birthing the little one (I will discuss this next year). However, I have a lot to be thankful for and I can say God never failed me in 2018. Yes!!
