It is OUR stuff🤷🏽‍♀️

The little one has come to believe everything in the house belongs to him. He reaches for our food everytime and cries if we don’t share with him. He turns mommy and daddy’s stuffs to toys and holds my breast hostage most nights to soothe himself (teething period). I have gotten to a point where I clean my phone and hand it over to him when the fight for my phone gets real. He thinks cell phones and everything belong in the mouth. I am beginning to think he is the second in command after God in our home.

Very soon, he will get to say “our house”, “our car”, “my room” et cetera. He will get to use those words when describing most things that technically belong to me and his dad, simply because he came from us and he is a member of the family. He is our child and this basic fact gives him access to many things that belong to us, his parents.

This also applies in our relationship with the creator of the heavens and the earth. We have access to many things as children of God. Psalm 82:6 (KJV) says “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High”. That’s wow! Like my son, I have access to many things God has access to and all things I need in life because I came from God. I just need to learn how to access them as I grow in the family and spend time with the one who created me.

Romans 8:32 (KJV)
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

2 Peter 1:3 (AMP) For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
