Hey Diddle Diddle

Hey Diddle Diddle is one of my favorite Nursery Rhymes. Perhaps, I am drawn to it’s simple and illogical content. My favorite lines are “The cow jumped over the moon” and “The dish ran away with the spoon”.

In my perspective, the lyrics of this nursery rhyme reveals the faith-filled and oh what possibilities mind of a child. It presents a child-like imagination where anything is possible.

In this season of uncertainty, this nursery rhyme is soothing. It shows me that God is calling me to a place of reckless faith and a place of complete trust in the process God is taking me through. It’s a place of complete surrender to God’s perfect will while fighting for everything that is rightfully mine. It is place of rest as I fight my battles with worship.

Let’s use our child-like imagination again. I dare you to believe God to do the impossible in your life.
