Christian Mommas

You are NOT Alone

Clothes piled up, toys everywhere, and little people running in and out of the photo. I know life is really never “perfect”, but something about this season for our family makes me see “perfect” differently.

I have had the privilege of speaking to several foster moms who are ready to throw in the towel and quit. After speaking to them I realized just how much of the process is romanticized. Contrary to what you see on Facebook or experience firsthand in a moment, it’s not always easy.

I have learned first hand how much of a fight it is everyday to live in peace and not my own emotion. It’s not convenient nor is it comfortable, but goodness when it clicks you realize just how worth it every moment is. I always thought for us life would look a very particular way, but it doesn’t. And for that I am so thankful.

To all of those parents working really hard to “blend” those families, parenting the trauma exposed toddler, loving the broken hearted teens… you aren’t alone in the process. We face similar issues and God is with us!

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

I pray that you feel an overwhelming amount of grace and enjoy life!
