Greater Works than Jesus?

As I do this thing called parenting, every doubt about God’s will for me to live the best life is being erased. Haaaaa, it’s so wonderful!

One of my deepest desires is that my children will be greater than I would ever be. That they will achieve a lot more than I ever could and surpass me in success. I am sure many parents want the same thing for their children. Who wouldn’t want their child to be greater?

While giving the little one a bubble bath and reflecting on the many desires that God inputted in me for the little one, this scripture exploded in me:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 14:12

Jesus wants YOU and I to do ALL he did and GREATER works than he did when he walked the earth. It sounds like an impossible thing to do but the one with whom all things are possible said it is possible (Luke 1:37).

And….All we need to do is BELIEVE! Have faith in God! Have the God kind of faith!

It’s a too good to be true kind of life. To know I can live a life of possibilities. Sounds delusional but I love it. The life of faith can make one look and sound stupid until everyone begins to see the manifestation of those things the believer hoped for and prayed for.

What is that great thing that Jesus didn’t do or cannot do? NOTHING! We are talking about the only God who rose from the dead, the one who created the universe, Your CREATOR….

Jesus walked in unusual wisdom, He had more than enough to feed the poor and hungry (JOHN 6:1-14), He raised the dead, Jesus did the impossible..Jesus did good deeds…..and Jesus said we can also do these things because we belong to Him. Because He is our Lord, our Father, the one in whom we put our trust.

Let John 14:12 sink deep into your soul, let it overtake you and let it become your desire.

Jesus wants to continue His work on earth through you. Simply BELIEVE.
