REST

The little one is finally taking his afternoon nap. Getting him to sleep took a lot of work. He was sleepy, yet he wanted to walk around and play. We go through the same issue at night when he is obviously full of food and tired from doing toddler things all day.

Our job (husband and I) as parents is to help the little one do what is right because we know what’s best for him. Sleep is good for his brain and healthy growth. There is time to play and time to sleep.

As I lay here with the little one sleeping peacefully on my chest (I will put him on his bed soon), I am reminded that God knows what’s best for me. I need to stop struggling and rest like the little one is doing this moment. I encourage you to do the same. Rest in God’s faithfulness, His love, and sovereignty.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

As I lay here, I am reminded that the Holy-spirit is here to help me do what I can’t do naturally. I can rest in God’s grace and the Holy-spirit to help me do God’s will. I encourage you to do the same.

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Philippians 2:13 (NLT)

I encourage you my friends, rest your body this weekend. That’s one way to keep this temple alive to complete your mission on earth…. and more importantly, rest in the Lord.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

    Rest is key. Even God rested after He created it all.
    I had to paste 3John 2 on my door for constant reminder 😀
    It’s when we are at rest and our mind and all is put right that we would be able to hear Him speak. 🤔

    1. Haaa, this is so true. Having scriptures on the wall/door is powerful. There is a great impression on one’s heart when one sees a quote over and over again. I hope you got your rest in this weekend ☺️♥️ Thank you for the comment.
