Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

“Bye, I will see you on …………”, that’s what I tell my clients at the end of every session. Sometimes, I don’t get to keep those words because they are not a hundred percent mine to make happen.

In August, I had a week of forced rest. I was too sick to work. I couldn’t see my clients like I said I would. I was too weak to be a wife and mother. All my plans were placed on hold.

Reflecting on my sudden illness reminds me that life is like vapor. James 4:14 says: “whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

With that Bible verse in mind let us:

Live like we are dying.

Love like we are dying.

Love like we have never been hurt.

Cherish every moment.

Chase what matters.

Enjoy the little beginnings.

Say ‘I love you’ more often.

Spread the gospel of love.

Forgive.

Have a blessed day! ♥️

  1. I love this. I read somewhere once that the antidote to fear of losing a loved one, and a pillar of resiliency, is presence in the moment, and making the precious time we have count. I don’t always do this perfectly, but it’s something I always try to remember.
