A Christian Mother and Wife’s Creed

Whether we desire war or not, we are constantly at war. There is a war over our lives as Christian mothers and wives. The enemy wants to divide and conquer our homes. He knows fully well that the family is the bedrock of the society. If he can destroy families, he can conquer the world. He also knows that mothers are powerful people, so he is after us. He wants to use us to hurt our children and cause a drift between fathers and children. We have an enemy who has lost, but he still lives in delusion that he can win a lost battle.

The soldier’s creed came to mind as I thought of the battle for our lives, children, and spouses. Consequently, I decided to view the soldier’s creed with spiritual eyes ;). Creed are set of beliefs, values, ideologies that guide our actions. Today, I present my creed as a Christian wife and mother. You can also make it yours! God help us!

I am a Christian wife and mother.

I am a warrior working with Jesus and my spouse to raise godly children and share the good news of salvation.

I am a servant of God, and I live the Kingdom values of love

I will always place God’s mission first by seeking God’s will in all I do and bringing glory to God in my words, actions, and every area of my life.

I will never accept defeat. I will never let the enemy rejoice over my family. If I fall, I will get back up again. I will fight the good fight of faith. I will hold on to God’s promises and fight for everything that rightfully belongs to me and my family.

I will never quit: I will never quit on my husband and children. I will ever be on my knees praying for them to know the love of God. I will never quit on myself as I walk towards perfection in Christ, Jesus.

I will never leave a fallen comrade: I will fight for the restoration of my spouse and children if they ever fall into deception and ungodliness. I will never kick and wound them with my words when they choose the ways of the world. I will love them unconditionally and trust God to help me.

I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills: I will equip myself with God’s word, put on the whole armor of God, and walk in wisdom.

I will always maintain my arms, my equipment, and myself: I will be vigilant, prayerful, and I will not be ignorant of Satan’s schemes to divide and conquer my home. I will maintain a relationship with God and my family. I will choose connection.

I am an expert and I am a professional: I am a true follower of Jesus Christ. I do not live in hypocrisy. I boldly share the gospel of salvation. I parent and do marriage with faith in God.

I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of my family in close combat: I do not sit back and watch the enemy destroy my home. I am ready to lay down my selfish desires to see God’s will established in my home. I do not partner with the enemy to wreck my home. I am always on the offensive. No one is allowed to mess with my family physically and spiritually.

I am a guardian of freedom and the Christian way of life: I stand for truth and righteousness in my home and every area of my life. I do not conform to the ways of the world. I do not accept unbiblical ideologies and ways in my marriage and parenting style.

I am a Christian Mother and Wife.

Update: I wrote a book on this subject.

    1. “You are my battle-ax and sword,” says the LORD. “With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms. Jeremiah 51:20

I had to find it. Thank you for pointing it out. We are weapons of war against wickedness and injustice. Alleluia!

  1. Satan wants to destroy the the structure and model of marriage that Paul talks about in Ephesians 5. He hates our children just like he hates us and loves it when our decisions affect them in negatively, he wants to use that to get them to turn away from God and the church. We become a tool in the enemy’s hand when we listen to his voice over God’s. The enemy wants to take out Kingdom order in the home. The first place for making disciples is the home, our children are our first disciples. When the home is out of order, a person’s spiritual life is out of order. He wants to destroy our witness, we are to model what a Kingdom family is supposed to reflect. Satan wants to destroy the home so we are distracted from ministry. He will do everything he can to get us to distracted from evangelism including attacking our families.

We must pray and cover our families and bind the devil!

    1. Yes, we can’t afford to sit back and let the enemy run our homes. Redefining marriage and persecuting anyone who dares to stand for what the Bible says are parts of satan’s schemes. We will continue to pray, stand for truth and use our voices. Our children are our first disciples indeed. God help us! Thank you.
