The Season of Joy

What a joy to see the first day in December! How did you feel when you woke up this morning? I felt like the atmosphere shifted for good, and my heart was thankful for the new season. While there have been attempts to make the Christmas season less about Jesus, it is hard to deny the joy and peace that comes with this season. That’s because the one who is peace, and the source of joy is being celebrated! I don’t care if Jesus was not born on Christmas day, I am just thrilled that there is a season we get to celebrate Jesus globally. I can only imagine what the world would look like if Jesus is celebrated all through the year. I can picture lower crime, depression, and suicide rates.

The fact that suicide rate is usually at its lowest in November and December says a lot about what happens when we focus on God and family. As we become more aware of Jesus and God’s love, darkness trembles and the weight of depression is lifted. Alleluia!

The good news is that we can experience the joy of Christmas all year round in our hearts. haaaaa! What a joy to be a Christian!

  1. That’s great about lower suicide rates during the holidays. It’s a blessing to have the love of Jesus, family, and friends. And even the occasional kindness of strangers as we journey through life. ❤️

  2. I’ve been specifically praying for joy over the past week, and yesterday as my husband and I put up our Christmas tree and prepared our hearts for the season, I do feel like a shift happened in me. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!

    1. Praise the Lord! Your comment was joyful to read. It is the most wonderful time of the year! We dare not put up a Christmas tree in my house, we don’t know what our toddler will do to the Christmas tree..haaa!
