End of Semester

Wow! I submitted my final paper for the semester one hour ago, and it feels so good to finally get a break. While I enjoyed reading articles and writing about the human brain, parent-child relationship, infant mental health, and all things early childhood development, I feel relieved from the pressure of meeting assignment deadlines. It made me think about God, the I AM. He does not feel pressured, He owns and controls time. Now, that’s the God I roll with.

There is no doubt that my doctoral program is God’s perfect will for my life. God has used this program to enhance my competency as a mother and a behavior therapist. More importantly, I have been exposed to a dynamic correlation between the mother-child relationship and the Christian life. The transformation I would experience within the next four years and beyond is unimaginable. I am thankful to God for giving me the strength, good health, sound mind, supportive relationships, and all it took to successfully complete this semester.

Yes, this semester was positively challenging. My challenges made me grow. Despite my full schedule, I blogged consistently this semester. My goal is to point fellow mommas, Christians, and everyone who visits this blog to the love of God. This is what drives my consistency. To point readers to the love of God while I continue to fall in love with the God whose love is unconditional and overwhelmingly good. You all motivated me to keep writing, and stay in this community. Your posts are encouraging, and I am grateful for your activities on this blog. Thank you. I look forward to sharing some of the things I learned about motherhood and parenting. You should look forward to buying my first book…..It is loading!

I love you all and I mean it.

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5 (NIV)
