Are you that Christian Momma?

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received! Matthew 10:8 (NLT)

Two days ago, I posted a ridiculous prayer request. Yes, it is ridiculous because I asked you to pray for a child’s resurrection. Faith is ridiculous. People will ridicule you for having the audacity to believe God can make an exception for you. The momma who lost her 2 year old daughter does not want to let her daughter go. She has chosen to believe that the God she serves can resurrect her daughter. As her sister in Christ and a fellow momma, my duty is to support her, not to mock her faith or stay silent. She is not believing God for something unscriptural. Whether she is asking for prayer from a place of grief or faith is not mine to determine or judge. I will continue to pray along.

What if the baby doesn’t resurrect? That’s not my expectation. I will still give glory and praise to God. We are limited in our understanding of God’s ways. We keep growing in faith. Our commitment to God should not be on the basis of circumstances but from a place of love for the one who loved us first. When we don’t get that healing or miracle we prayed for, it is never because God did not honor his word. It is always based on our human limitations. I pray like I have never been hurt. I put all my eggs in one basket and give it to God.

So,

Are you that Christian Momma who would stand in the gap for the resurrection of another momma’s child?

Are you that Christian Momma who would pray for the healing of another momma’s child?

Are you that Christian Momma who doesn’t mock the ridiculous faith of another momma?

Are you that Christian Momma who is mama bear for other mommas’ children?

Are you that Christian Momma who cares about other momma’s children?

Are you that Christian Momma with ridiculous faith?

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 (NIV)

I am thrilled that people have the audacity to believe God for the dead to rise. Oh what hope!

  1. My dear Temi, that mother’s faith is not rediculous. The bible states that the women received their dead brought back to life. There was also a wife in Africa who prayed that her husband would raise from the dead and he did. I will remember that momma in my prayers. May God have mercy on her.

    1. I meant it is ridiculous because it does not make sense, humanly speaking. Radical faith like that brings ridicule. The post doesn’t mock or oppose the women’s faith.
Thank you for sharing the scripture about women getting their dead brought back to life. That scripture was on my mind. The child was buried yesterday. I shared an update in my first post. Thank you♥️
