Thoughts on Parenting 101

WE SHOULD NOT COMPARE OUR CHILD WITH OTHER PEOPLE’S CHILDREN. NEITHER SHOULD WE COMPARE OUR CHILDREN WITH EACH OTHER. EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL. EVERY CHILD IS DESTINED FOR GREATNESS. THE JOB OF A PARENT IS TO NURTURE A CHILD’S DREAM AND BRING OUT THE BEST IN A CHILD. MAXIMIZE THE STRENGTHS OF YOUR CHILD.

MARY AND JESUS WERE THE ONLY PARENTS ALLOWED TO COMPARE THEIR CHILDREN. THEY HAD EVERY REASON TO SAY “JAMES, BE LIKE JESUS”. THEY HAD EVERY REASON TO TELL JESUS’S SIBLINGS TO BE LIKE HIM. JESUS IS THE STANDARD. WE ALL NEED TO BE LIKE JESUS.

GOD BLESS YOU!

  1. Both my children were and are as different as daylight and dark! They both have their areas of strengths and weaknesses. I love them equally, but they had to be disciplined differently growing up. What worked for one did not phase the other. I caught some judgment from outside sources for that.
I wish people didn’t expect all children to be the same. I agree that they are all very special in their own ways! Some are calm and some are hyper. But all are beautiful in the eyes of God and have their place in this world.
Thank you for this post! I totally agree! 🤗💜

    1. Thank you for sharing your personal experience. You expanded on the topic in a beautiful way. Thank you. ♥️
I am yet to understand why parents sometimes have a preferred child.

      1. Preferred child is a no no, as Ms Renee says, you relate to them differently but I expect more from the elder ones, I spaced my kids out, not necessarily the greatest plan, kind of happened that way. 23, 15 and 7, yikes… So I expect more logical behaviors according to maturity.
