Support For Children with Developmental Disorders

For some days now, I have become more aware of the little one’s presence. He is constantly ordering us around, “get down”, “stop it”, “no”, “sit down”.. and I cannot count the number of times I have heard “mine” within the past few days of social isolation. Guess what I have been doing as well, screaming “mine”. It has helped me stay sane. I can’t believe how therapeutic screaming “mine” right back in different tones has been. The good thing is that the little one sometimes ends up finding it a little funny.

As a therapist, I understand that some parents no longer have access to therapeutic services for their children this period. I encourage you to checkout this website. It has great resources for parents with typically and atypically developing children. The resources on the website teaches parents how to co-regulate their children, understand their children’s developmental challenges, and strengthen parent-child relationship. We all need these resources this season. Also check out the discounted DIR training opportunities here

Send me a message via contact@christianmommas.com if you need someone to talk to this season.

James 1:4 ~ Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

PS: To all the healthcare professionals and others working this season, thank you for your service! My hope is that when this season is over, parents will appreciate teachers more than ever before and we will appreciate the gift of life better. ♥️
