Back to the Basics

I had to put the sippy cup valve back on the little one’s sippy cup. He seems to have forgotten that water or juice in a sippy cup does not belong on the floor or anywhere else but his mouth. Putting the valve makes him focus more on drinking, it takes more effort and he does not get to waste his drink. No drinking from an open cup without supervision either. The little one is back to the basics so he can focus on putting drinks where they belong, in his mouth. I did this out of love for him. Not to punish him. Correction should always come from a place of love.

Ephesians 4:15 (KJV)~ But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Taking the little one back to the basics is similar to what we are experiencing in the world this season. Our plans and life have suddenly slowed down. Now, we can pay more attention to God and our family. That which the enemy meant for destruction is turning hearts back to God, families are spending more time together, and people are beginning to value life more (except those busy passing laws to murder babies. I pray that they receive their rewards and their evil agenda be foiled).

Zechariah 1:3~ Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.

Stay safe, stay clean, and keep hope alive.

  1. Lovely all around. I love the lead in to your lesson. Like your little one (smile) this will surely work out for our good, as yes I am also seeing the benefits of the social distancing in my own family. Praise God.
