Back to the Basics 2

Yesterday, I wrote about how this season has shifted our focus back to what matters, God and family. Please check the post here. As I reflected further, it began to click even more that this season is a wake up call for the body of Christ.

We have gone the ways of the world, tolerating sin, chasing money to make ourselves happy, living for ourselves, and pandering to the lust of the flesh. We no longer hear about the second coming of Christ and the realness of eternity. We have forgotten that we are here temporarily. Judge yourself. Look inward. Repent.

It is time to return to the basics like my little one. It’s time to turn our hearts to God. It is time to teach our children the ways of the Lord while we are home with them. This is not time for Netflix and chill junk. It is time to seek God with our home and have fun while doing it.

Matthew 6:19-21  (KJV)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

  1. I agree! It is time to go back to the basics. In the beginning of the year, Lisa Bevere (a woman of God) said that 2020 is about RESET. Wow, wasn’t she right! We are being reset to the basics. We can take advantage of this precious time if we are open to it ♥️

  2. I’ve been thinking a lot about the scripture you share lately. Trying to help my heart not rely on the material things.

I would love to come to your book launch if I can! How do I get a link?

  3. Amen! And today I had a post called “Back to Basics” (did not see your title prior 🤗🤔) and it should have been oozing with the truths you shared! Mine had a different twist~but Back to Basics is surely a call from God! ❤️💚💕
