Celebrating My Mother

I have spent the past two years cherishing memories of my mother. Motherhood made me realize many things about her. One joyful news is that I finally received pictures of my mother earlier this year. We look so much alike. I was 6 or 7 years old when I last saw her. Although she lived for only 35 years, I can say she lived a full life because she gave me life.

It is not enough to live long, we must live well. Jesus lived briefly on earth but His impact on the world is eternal. That’s the power of love. Love for the Father and humanity empowers us to impact our world.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ~ John 3:16

  1. Hi Temi !
This is a beautiful, and very touching post. Yes, your mom lived a full life, and she gave you life.
There is beauty in motherhood. And , motherhood extends also to spiritual motherhood, to provide love, prayers and encouragent to others.
My own spiritual ‘mother’, who led me to the Lord, is biologically younger than I am, but I always call her ‘Mama’.
    Thanks for sharing. 🤗
