Death Has NO Hold on Me

It is with great joy and confidence that I write this post. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ means death lost its sting and those who believe in Jesus Christ should not be afraid of death. Imagine the joy of taking that last breath here on earth with relief, without struggle and uncertainty about what’s next. Jesus Christ made that possible and anyone who believes in Him can receive the gift of eternal life. When I die, I can imagine that my children will be greatly comforted that I am in a better place. They may mourn but not for too long.

I am not afraid of death because death could not hold Jesus Christ down in the grave. I am not afraid of death because I know the one who knows what tomorrow holds. I am not afraid of death because the God who is Love has given ALL for me, I can rest in His love. I am not afraid of death because eternity awaits me after life here on earth.

If you are afraid of death, I would like to introduce you to the living God who raises the dead and gives the gift of eternal life. This God is known as Jehovah, and I call Him Heavenly Father. He is also your heavenly father and you can pour out your heart to this perfect father. Say this “Heavenly father, I want to know you. I want freedom from the fear of death. I want eternal life. You said whosoever call upon your name shall be saved. Save me from sin and death. I surrender my life to you. Reveal yourself to me”

May the peace of God overshadow you! Amen.

He is alive!

1 Corinthians 15:54-58 (NIV)

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
