Child-ish Vs. Child-like 2

I have a bottle of activated charcoal in the cabinet because the little one still likes to explore with his mouth. I thought he would have outgrown this by now. I was wrong.

When the little one is suddenly quiet, we know he is up to something he should not be doing. I bet other parents/caregivers can relate. Recently, we found him squeezing up liquid from his wipes into his mouth. 🤦🏽‍♀️ As always, he got his dose of activated charcoal mixed with juice…and life continued. Please note that this is not a medical advice for parents. If your child consumes something toxic, please call the poison control center in your state or country.

I recommend having activated charcoal, organic gas relief and elderberry immunity booster in the house.

The little one’s curiosity is a child-like characteristic we all need. Spiritually, we must stay hungry for the truth and keep seeking to know God’s heart. We should not assume we know all there is to know about the Bible, healing, divine provision, and all that pertains to God’s kingdom. There is always more in God and a humble heart is always curious.

In our relationships and career, we should never become complacent. There is always something to learn or discover.

The little one’s occasional lack of understanding about what is harmful to the body is a childish characteristic. Spiritually, it signifies lack of discernment. Consuming everything without weighing their impact on the soul. What are those shows, books, movies, etc. doing to your spirit, soul and body? Are they filling you with comparison, fear, and ideologies that contradict the truth? I ask myself these questions.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

I believe it is more important for Christians to spend personal time studying the Bible than listening to messages or reading books. That way, God’s word in our hearts can help us discern false teachings or doctrines as we encounter them. We must spend time in God’s word so we can discern demonic ideologies the enemy tries to plant in our hearts and homes through the movies we watch, pastors and celebrities we like.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Stay curious, keep learning and growing in understanding. Let God’s Word and the Holyspirit in you be your guide. Be discerning. Search the scriptures and know God personally ♥️

  1. A very profound post, Temi. Yes, there is always more to be learning. Yes, we need to be thinking carefully about how the things we look at, or listen to, can affect our spirits.
Your description of the little one brought back many memories of toddlers’ behaviour. 🤗

  2. Yes, sis. Have a personal time to dig deeper and feed your spirit man. It sustains us!.

Smiles. Children love exploring a lot. Geez, I know the wipes part of the ingesting. It’s “water”to them. 😂 The phase will pass. 🙂
