The Voice of God

This song- “The Voice of God” reminds me that God speaks and He does not make it difficult for us to hear. We just need to listen. I can remember feeling uncertain about a situation few months ago, then the little one suddenly started singing “standing on the promises of God”. That was the first time he ever sang that song and I cannot remember him singing that song again. The song brought peace. That was the voice of God.

Many lines in this song hit deep. God’s voice sounds like grandmama’s voice telling you where you come from. Yes, my late grandmother did that. She called me special names to remind me who I am. God’s Word tells us where we come from and who we are.

Philippians 3:20 ~ But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

John 15:19 ~ If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

1 Peter 2:9 ~ But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

God’s voice is like story telling with my grandpa, it’s hard not to believe. Yes, my late grandfather used to tell me stories. I never thought he was lying. Never once did I think my grandfather’s story was made up. When God’s Word explodes in us, it is more real than the air we breathe. God is greater than my grandfather.

Those Bible stories are real. Never doubt them.

Hebrews 6:18 ~ that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

God speaks. Are you listening? Can you hear Him?
