Halloween

Dear friends,

What are your plans for Halloween night? Doing something or nothing? Do you feel pressured to participate in Halloween? How can we peacefully say “yes” or “no” to our children’s complicated requests this Halloween and everyday? Find out in the 3-Day Hallow Him devotional I wrote and please share your thoughts in the comment section.

Whatever our plan is, let’s keep Jesus at the center and remember every day belongs to the living God.

Thank you all for your support.

God bless you!

  1. We do allow our kids to participate but our rule is they have to always dress up as some thing nice, It can’t ever be anything gory, which has never been a problem, the kids have never been interested in dressing up as anything creepy. We typically just end up at family and friends houses to trick-or-treat. It’s actually kind of a “sweet” time for us as we enjoy visiting our loved ones….so sad when people use Halloween for evil, we just don’t think of it in that way.

  2. I am throwing a bridal shower for my oldest daughter! And our family will probably have apple crisp or something as a treat. We may play games or do something fun for the kids, but we don’t “do Halloween.” Have you read the Parable of the Pumpkin by Liz Curtis Higgs? We love this book!

    1. Congratulations! I have not read the book. I will check it out. Thank you. You have a cool plan!
I don’t “do Halloween” either. There will be a prayer night here this Halloween. I may attend. We need heaven on earth in my city.
