U.S. Elections 2020

As we exercise the right to vote for the future of our children in the United States- born and unborn, let’s mind the state of our heart and attitude towards those whose beliefs and perspectives about the upcoming election differ from ours.

Do you cringe when you see President Trump or former Vice President, Joe biden? Do you hate those who are pro-abortion, anti-Christian, and radical liberal groups? Let’s do a heart check!

If we truly want righteousness to prevail in our land, hate must not guide our decisions. When we allow hate or bitterness to master or lead us, we lose sight of true justice and what really matters. What really matters right now is for righteousness, peace, justice, and unity to prevail in our land.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Hebrews 12:14-16

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour. 1 Timothy 2:1-3

  1. Such an important truth and reminder..I don’t feel hate about those whose ideas are different but it’s seriously frustrating to me and this is something I must take to the Lord!! I love that verse from Hebrews 12 you used, but I had to look it up in the NIV version 😅..very timely verse and message❤️

      1. Ya I cross reference a lot..I try and use NIV and even then I sometimes don’t understand so I try NLT..I don’t easily retain information or I have trouble concentrating at times when I read so I struggle..always been that way, it’s a God-thing that I can even write!!❤️🙏
