Thank You For Your Service!

It is Veterans Day here in the United States. To all military veterans, thank you for your service! Your fight for freedom will not be in vain.

I consider it a great honor to have served in the United States Army. Although I enlisted to serve because of the benefits, my purpose changed once I was indoctrinated. I went from “what can I get?” to “how can I serve?” and giving my best in service. Isn’t this similar to our salvation experience?! We initially come to God because of the things he can do and has done for us; then we grow in love and learn to serve selflessly as we grow in our relationship with him.

I am glad all Christians have been given the responsibility to serve the nations through continuous prayers for those in authority and the establishment of God’s kingdom in every nation (Matthew 6:10, Psalms 2:8, 1 Timothy 2:2).

To those who served in the United States military- Thank you for your service!

To those warring day and night in prayer for peace in our land- Thank you for your service!
