Unforgettable

It is nearly impossible for a breastfeeding mother to forget her infant. She is the source of food and comfort for her little one, and her breasts keep her connected to her little one regardless of the distance. While seeking God’s heart concerning an issue two weeks ago, Isaiah 49:15 was impressed on my heart. I opened my Bible to find out what the verse says. It says:

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Isaiah 49:15 brought me peace in the midst of uncertainty. The scripture pierced my soul even deeper because I am a nursing mother. God comforted me and reassured me that he is mindful of me, and he used a beautiful scripture. Just like it is impossible for me to forget my sucking child, God cannot forget me. God is mindful of you too. If you don’t have a relationship with God, he is still mindful of you. Your salvation is on God’s mind (2 Peter 3:9) and He wants you to be a part of his divine family. If you have a relationship with God, but the challenges of life is making you doubt God’s love; let Isaiah 49:15 serve as a reminder that God has not forgotten you. God is near and He makes all things work together for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28). It is impossible for God to forget us because he is the source of our life (Acts 17:28).

Unforgettable, that’s who you are!

Would you like to become a member of God’s family? Please say the prayer below and let me know about it here.

Say this: Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe you exist and you sent Jesus to die for me. I receive your love and forgiveness. Reveal yourself to me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen

Welcome to God’s family!

  1. further in that chapter, He says – “I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.” This verse is a great encouragement as the child grows…. (verse 25)

    1. I love that verse! It brings me comfort to know God has our children’s salvation in mind. In my book- A Christian Mother’s Creed, Isaiah 49:25 was the scripture attached to the declaration- ” I will Never Quit on my Children’s Salvation; I will Ever be on My Knees Praying for Them.”
