Let’s Go Fishing

Do you see what I see? Can you sense what I am sensing? We are in the last days. Disguised as freedom, wickedness is becoming a norm and many are being deceived. The world wants us to be selfish in the name of happiness and mothering is being presented as bondage. The love of many is waxing cold (Matthew 24:12). There is work to do but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). There are souls to be won through prayer and evangelism, but it seems Christians are sleeping. We need to wake up from our slumber, repent, and go after souls. Let’s start with our children, reach out to those in our communities, and fulfill the great commission-

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)

Children have a wonderful way of connecting us with new people. We can use this as an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with strangers. My first little one likes to say “hello” to people and he enjoys going to the park. These situations present opportunities for me to meet new people and reveal the love of Jesus. I plan to make the most of these opportunities.

Think about the various ways being a mother connects you to new people and make the most of it for the gospel.

Last night, I designed these wall arts/canvases to serve as a reminder that we are called to go fishing for souls. Let’s be Fishers of Moms. Digital downloads are available on Christian Mommas Etsy shop.

Would you like to become a member of God’s family? Please say the prayer below and let me know about it here.

Say this: Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe you exist and you sent Jesus to die for me. I receive your love and forgiveness. Reveal yourself to me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen

Welcome to God’s family!

  1. Amen, Amen, Amen!! Love this message–love your call to Moms to see their role not as a bondage, but as a calling to discipleship–to their little ones, and a part of discipleship is showing our disciples “How to fish”. When taking my little ones to the park, I would strike up conversations with others, and I noticed that in a few years when my kiddos were older, they would share the gospel with young children they met and played with at the park. 2 Tim 2:2 Thank you!!

  2. Wow! Such a great , more life and Spirit to this text🙏… Let the body of Christ arise , align and position themselves for kingdom advance, soul saving in every field they represent… For we are not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes.

  3. I love this graphic. You stated so much of what has been on my heart. The gospel needs to be more than a message we go outside our comfort zone to share. It should be our very life, lived out loud, for others to see and hear and know the truth. It should define everything, and not be hidden under a basket… our children are the future truth tellers, starting now. We have to be teaching them.

  4. Reblogged this on Christian Mommas and commented:

In Luke 5:10 Jesus said “Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. In Luke 5: 11, Simon Peter and his fishing partners FORSOOK ALL, and followed Jesus. Those scriptures came alive while studying the Bible, today. So, it was impressed upon my heart to reblog this post and remind all moms here to be “Fishers of Mom” and “Catch Moms” for God’s Kingdom. Let’s forsake building our brand or name and follow Jesus. God is faithful to help us! I love you all.
