Unity

Watching my little ones love on each other makes me glad. This makes me think of the Heavenly Father’s desire for His children to love one another and dwell in unity.

We do not need to tear one another down and argue. I love the Amplified version of 2 Timothy 2:23:

But have nothing to do with foolish and ignorant speculations [useless disputes over unedifying, stupid controversies], since you know that they produce strife and give birth to quarrels.

One way to walk in love and unity is to pray for one another. If you see a believer going astray, personally talk to the person and pray for a change of heart. I am yet to find a place in the Bible that encourages us to set up ministries to expose false teachers and prophets. The Bible tells us to pray for everyone, preach the gospel, and love one another. These practices have the power to transform lives and change hearts.

The agenda of the enemy is to make Christians become accusers of the brethren and engage in unnecessary debates. We must not partner with the enemy. We must focus on the mission.

Psalm 133 is one of the shortest Psalms in the Bible. In it, God gave us a profound message on unity:

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Would you like to become a member of God’s family? Please say the prayer below and let me know about it here.

Say this: Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe you exist and you sent Jesus to die for me. I receive your love and forgiveness. Reveal yourself to me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen

Welcome to God’s family!
