Live Conscious of Resurrection

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain [useless, amounting to nothing], and your faith is also vain [imaginary, unfounded, devoid of value and benefitnot based on truth].

1 Corinthians 15:13-14 (AMP)

Never entertain the thought that there is no life after death. Those who believe in Jesus must live with full assurance or confidence that there is life after death.

Jesus said, “Do not be surprised at this; for a time is coming when all those who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and they will come out–those who did good things [will come out] to a resurrection of [new] life, but those who did evil things [will come out] to a resurrection of judgment [that is, to be sentenced].” John 5:28-29(AMP)

Again, resurrection is guaranteed. However, the post-resurrection experience will be different for two groups of people—those who did good things and those who did evil things. We know that only those who possess the nature of God are good and capable of doing the type of good God requires (Mark 10:18;3 John 1:11).

What God defines as “good” is different from what the world teaches and our natural perception of good. Consider the following exhortation in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

That scripture highlights some of the “good things” we do not often think of—supplication, prayer, intercession, and giving thanks. Often, meeting the physical needs of others comes to mind when we think of doing “good things”. Rightly so, it is good to feed the poor and meet the physical needs of those in need (James 2:16; Matthew 25:35-36). Yet, we can do a greater good in addition to meeting physical needs—saving souls from eternal damnation. And 1 Timothy 2:1-4 shows we can win souls with prayers, supplications, intercessions, and giving of thanks. So, let’s get started today.

Intercede for mercy and the conversion of those who work against the gospel. Pray for persecuted Christians to stay hopeful. Pray for the poor to experience the love of God.

We must live conscious of this truth—there will be a resurrection of the dead. Every good we do for ourselves and others must be done with eternity in mind.

If you do not believe in Jesus, this moment is your opportunity to experience a new life and assurance of peace here on earth and after death.  The peace you seek is within your reach, in Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

“because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (AMP)

Say this prayer: Jesus, I acknowledge you as my Lord and believe God raised you from the dead. Jesus, reveal yourself to me.

If today was your last day on earth, do you know where you will spend eternity? Are you sure you will make it to heaven? If you are not sure, you need to give your life to Jesus Christ. Please say the prayer below and let me know about it here.

Say this: Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe you exist and you sent Jesus to die for me. I receive your love and forgiveness. Reveal yourself to me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen

Welcome to God’s family!
