WHERE CAN A TINY SEED TAKE ME?
My deepest heart cry is that I please my Heavenly Father by obeying His specific plan for my life. He has shown me that each part of His body plays a unique role in completing His earthly purposes. Just as each part of the natural body has a unique function that must be worked to ensure the perfect operation of the body, so it is with the spiritual body of Christ. Each member must discover his particular place in the body where he fits perfectly, helping the body function at maximum capacity.
YOU ARE UNIQUE! WHAT IS HE REVEALING TO YOU?
Our awesome God made each of us with multi-faceted abilities and personalities, yet different from each other. You are unique. No other person exists precisely like you. Since God is no respecter of persons and never changes, He speaks to everyone. The ways God speaks to you and me are as varied as the myriad of colors in a rainbow. Think about all the different colors and their varying shades! We see those colors in every facet of God’s creation, including skin color, eye color, hair color…yes, even in trees, flowers, vegetables, fruits, the entire landscape… on and on I could go! Look around, and you will see God’s sense of humor…animals and people of many colors, shapes, and sizes! Do you see where I am heading? We serve an awesome God of diversity.
Then, it is no surprise that He speaks to us in different ways that best suit our personalities. It is in the light of this revelation of the Word that I relate to you. It is my personal journey of seeing where the revealed tiny Seed of His Word has taken me thus far. God is emphasizing the importance of sharing what He has revealed to me with others. When each of us shares our unique revelation, our faith increases, making the body stronger, thus enabling us to push forward with greater power to get His work done. The Holy Spirit constantly reminds me that none of us ever arrives, but indeed, we must keep pushing forward against the darkness of this age.
HOW CAN THE WORD OF GOD BE ALIVE?
His gift, the Bible, contains living Words that are spiritual Seeds filled with His power. While it is essential to get His Word into our minds, it comes alive only as the Holy Spirit gives revelation to our spirits.
As we meditate and do the Word, it gradually becomes a part of who we are as representatives of Jesus Christ. In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus reveals that His Word is, indeed, a Seed. Luke 8:11. “Now the Parable is this: the Seed is the Word of God.” In fact, He emphasizes the importance of our understanding the process of growing that Seed to maturity. Mark 4:13. “And He said to them, ‘Do you not understand this parable? How, then, will you understand all the other parables?” If Jesus thinks we need to grasp the meaning of the Word’s being a Seed, then it would be your and my advantage to look into it further!
