Divine Audacity: Embracing the New Thing God is Doing

I don’t know about you, but God is doing something new! In this NEW thing, while it may seem unfamiliar to us in this era, it’s not new for Him. As Ecclesiastes 1:9 reminds us, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” This might seem like a passive perspective, but it invites us to respond to life’s challenges by understanding God’s unchanging patterns.

In Isaiah 43:18-19, God says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” This passage challenges us to let go of the old and embrace the new things God is doing in our lives, even when they don’t align with our expectations or past experiences. Many of us may have been taught cultural principles (former things) rather than the ancient truths of God. I encourage you to set aside those teachings, especially if they conflict with what God is revealing to you now, and allow Him to challenge your traditions.

Just like in Jesus’s time, many struggled to see the newness of God’s Kingdom because they were fixated on old traditions and expectations. The same is true today; while God is doing something NEW, it’s not new under the sun. The ancient truths of God’s Word are being restored, bringing us back to righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

We are in a time of global reset in our faith, experiencing firsthand what we’ve only read about in the Bible or ancient literature. You might have heard phrases like Ancient of Days, Ancient Paths, and Restoration being repeated, and wondered, What is being restored? It’s the timeless principles that align us with God’s will. Even when things seem to be going from bad to worse, God’s pattern reveals that this is a season for repentance and restoration.

Joel 2:12-13 calls us to return to the Lord with sincere repentance: “Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” It’s in our repentance that we find restoration. The Lord’s mercy is unfailing, and as we turn back to Him, we will witness His compassion and provision.

Joel 2:18-19 gives us a beautiful promise: “Then the Lord was jealous for his land and took pity on his people. The Lord replied to them: ‘I am sending you grain, new wine, and olive oil, enough to satisfy you fully; never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations.’” God is restoring what was lost, and we will see joy and gladness return as we focus on Him.

As daughters of God, we are entering a season where rivers will flow in the desert, and dry bones will come alive. New doors are opening, and there is a renewed hunger for the things of God. Every element of the earth will cooperate, and only the Spirit of the living God will find expression in us.

I declare that we will be effective witnesses because God’s mercy will speak for us. We are choosing to accept God’s ways as the standard of our lives.

Meditation:

I will be an effective witness because God’s mercy speaks for me.

I accept God’s ways as the standard of living.

I am God’s elect, holy and beloved.

I put on humility.

I forgive quickly and refrain from avenging myself.

Sisters, Let’s walk in this divine audacity, embracing the new thing God is doing in us and through us! May it be said of us, “There was a group of Christian Mommas fervently praying and letting their lights shine while the world was on fire.” May warriors in years to come learn of us and see that the Lord had his way in our lives as vessels.
