Today, we gather not just to celebrate a national holiday, but to remember, to honor, and to declare.
We remember the sacred cost of our freedom.
We honor the brave men and women who fought and died to protect it.
And we declare once again that this nation remains one nation under God.
We Honor the Founding
In 1776, our Founding Fathers boldly proclaimed:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
They did not declare independence based on opinion but on truth, truth rooted in the belief that God is the Author of liberty. They risked everything to resist tyranny and declare righteousness.
And I want to emphasize this today:
To declare means to speak boldly and prophetically, just like in Job 22:28:
“You shall also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.”
Their declaration was not just a political move—it was a spiritual act of courage, rooted in moral conviction.
