Mentorship and Discipleship Program

These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.

Titus 2:4-5 (NLT)

Our mission is to fulfill Titus 2:4-5 by raising women who will advance God's kingdom through mothering and marriage.

Join our transformative 40-Day FREE group mentorship program, offered three times a year. During this journey, up to 15 women are immersed in a supportive and empowering community. Each mentee is paired with a dedicated individual mentor and gains access to a team of 3 to 4 mentors. Together, they provide personalized guidance to help you build a strong foundation at home, harness your spiritual gifts, and live every moment conscious of God’s presence. Step into a season of growth, connection, and divine empowerment!

Why 40 Days? The number 40 holds profound significance in the Bible, symbolizing periods of transformation, testing, and renewal. When you commit to learning and receiving support for 40 days, you open yourself to powerful spiritual growth. Just as Jesus, Moses, and Jonah yielded to the Holy Spirit for 40 days and witnessed divine results, you too can experience life-changing breakthroughs.

This is your opportunity to surrender to the Holy Spirit and immerse yourself in Biblical truths on marriage and parenting for 40 days. Embrace this sacred journey and see how God can transform your life and family. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, mold you, and fill you with wisdom and strength for the road ahead. Your transformation begins now.

Koinonia guides readers to identify family patterns, embrace an identity rooted in spirituality, practice Biblical meditation, and engage the weapons in their spiritual arsenal for personal and family transformation. This book is designed to be used in a mentorship-discipleship program or relationship with accountability structures for a practical application of the knowledge acquired while reading the book.

What Women Are Saying

This program has done more for me in leading me on my walk than I would have done on my own. I was given a direction and vision towards what God wants for me and my family. The devotions and weekly meetings have been eye openers in what has been missing from my spiritual life and what I can add to my family’s. The absence of a religious mindset has definitely been helpful. There is no judgement and there is less fear of being criticized for vulnerability or open about flaws. Everyone shares in their imperfections and helps lift each other up.

The reflections sharing, joint prayers and the devotional has been really great. I also love the inclusion of us having Holy Communion during our meetings. I have seen the need to engage more with this weapon going forward. I also like the inclusion of having a direct mentor. I like that I am able to talk and share things with her freely. She has been of great help. I would say putting this structure in place also fosters a narrowed down accountability as well.

It’s been a great experience. I’ve been learning so much. The Holy Spirit course recommended in the beginning before starting the mentorship was pretty groundbreaking for me. It hard to put in words how much this mentorship has changed my way of thought and helped deepen my relationship with the Lord. Being taught how to really invite and make room for God in my life and home has been the biggest impact.

Words of Wisdom

Proverbs 14: 1 | proverbs 24:3

The wise woman builds her house [on a foundation of godly precepts, and her household thrives], But the foolish one [who lacks spiritual insight] tears it down with her own hands [by ignoring godly principles].

Through [skillful and godly] wisdom a house [a life, a home, a family] is built, And by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation]

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

Yes, you can review mentors via the Christian Mommas “about” web page. Our mentors undergo rigorous training to become certified Koinonia mentors. Furthermore, they continuously receive training to better serve families. Ensuring Koinonia mentors are spiritually and emotionally equipped to support mentees is a top priority for us at Christian Mommas.

Applicants may indicate their preferred mentor; however, we cannot guarantee their preference will be granted. To minimize bias and compatibility concerns, we fast and pray before pairing mentors and mentees. Our spiritually-informed matching process allows us to look beyond natural compatibility. While each mentee is assigned a mentor, they can request to connect with other mentors as needed. Additionally, we trust that assigned mentors will recommend the support of another mentor when necessary throughout the program.

Yes, mentors do their best to find a time/day that accommodates both the mentee/mentor schedules.

You may request to be paired with a different mentor. Each request will be subject to prayer and fasting prior to a decision being made.

This time is to be guided by the Holy Spirit and both the mentor/mentee. Discussion of the Koinonia workbook is encouraged (amazon link to order). But this time can also be used to discuss a wide-range of topics. Praying together and adhering to the Vision and Mentorship Mission should also be guidelines for one-on-one meetings.

Vision: To raise women who passionately advance God’s kingdom in the family system.

Mentorship Mission: “These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.” Titus 2:4-5 (NLT). We believe women can thrive in marriage and parenting when spurred and trained to obey Titus 2:4-5 instructions. Therefore, we are on a mission to fulfil Titus 2:4-5 through mentoring relationships and education.

Primarily the focus is on reflecting on that week’s Koinonia reading. However, we lead as the Holy Spirit guides, so what we have planned may change based upon His guidance. Prayer, worship, and sharing testimonies occur frequently.

Come ready to engage with God, His Word, and other Sisters in Christ (Koinonia-only participants). Anticipate singing/praying in the spirit, reading aloud God’s Word, meditating on His Word, soaking in His presence. Time is usually allocated for the sharing of testimonies. Fasting the week leading up to a prayer charge is encouraged (intermittent fasting, 24 hour fast, in partnership with your mentor etc.) The biggest encouragement would be to experience a Christian Mommas prayer charge (public event). These prayer charges and the Koinonia prayer charges are similar in format/structure. In the app, click ‘events’ at the bottom right. Find the item titled “3-hour Prayer Charge”, click and register for the next event.

A prayer watch is a designated time that you commit to showing up and praying. As a way to hold each other accountable, it is required that you always use the provided Zoom link for your prayer watch. For 15-30 minutes you’ll pray in the Spirit and/or pray the specific scriptures provided.

All Koinonia group events are scheduled in Eastern Standard Time (EST). We are aware that differences in time zones may pose an inconvenience. We are willing to make some allowances based upon the degree of the difference and the time of the event. However, each mentee will be responsible for communicating this prior to the start of Koinonia so that an agreement can be established as to the allowable exemption. In some instances this will require a greater sacrifice on your part. We encourage you to earnestly seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If He gives you the ‘go-head’, you can stand firm on the promise that what He calls us to, He equips us to accomplish. (Hebrews 13:20-21; 1 Thess 5:24).
