Last Monday was my birthday. It was the best birthday ever because I was weak, yet I was able to say “I am strong”. In brief moments of strength, I was able to sing and dance with a grateful heart. I had lost my sense of smell and taste. My head ached violently. However, I could taste that God is always good. I could smell God’s fragrance of love and peace. Years ago, I purposed in my heart that I would confess that God is good in every season. It was a privilege to do that in moments of great pain.
Love was all around me. God’s love is always the best gift ever. He revealed his love through my family and friends. My testimony is that the enemy couldn’t ruin my birthday. Yes, COVID reared up its ugly head and tried to ruin my special day, yet I saw God’s beauty. More than ever before, Psalm 23: 4, “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me” came alive. There was zero fear because the one who is peace lives in my heart and home.
God has taken what the enemy meant for evil and turned it for good. Today, I can look back and say “God is always good”.
Dear friends, God’s love never fails. In difficult times, we can hold on to God’s love and faithfulness to fulfill his promises. Always believe God’s report about your health, children, marriage, finances, etc…and let those who believe God’s word agree with you in prayer. It certainly keeps doubt away and strengthens one’s faith. Don’t live below what is possible with God.

And just FYI I haven’t gotten to your book yet…the encouraging book I’m currently reading has been great and spiritually rewarding BUT it is taking me a looooong time to get through because she references so much scripture which is good but makes for a lot of reading, much like a Bible study…can’t wait to dig into your book soon though!!
