Happy Independence Day

What I love most about the patterns in the Bible is how every milestone was celebrated, showcasing God’s love and power. This pattern captivates me because the Most High God desires us to continue celebrating our earthly victories, especially when we trust in Him. He delights in our praise, honor, and reverence for all He has done and loves when we maintain these patterns.

The 4th of July, also known as Independence Day, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This historic document, primarily authored by Thomas Jefferson, declared the thirteen American colonies’ independence from British rule, marking the birth of the United States of America.

The significance of the 4th of July lies in its celebration of freedom and democracy. It honors the courage and vision of the Founding Fathers and the countless individuals who fought for the nation’s independence. The day serves as a reminder of the values of liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness that form the bedrock of the American ethos.

In essence, the 4th of July is more than a historical milestone; it is a day of celebration, reflection, and renewed dedication to the ideals that continue to shape the United States.

Today, I encourage you to give thanks as we use this momentous day to SEE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE in the United States of America.

I invite you to reflect on the scriptures below for a greater understanding or reminder of how much God values and cherishes our praise and honor. As a believer, you play an integral role in this divine exchange of love and reverence!

1. Psalm 29:2 “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.”

2. Hebrews 13:15“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”

This scripture underscores the importance of your expressions of worship and gratitude. God values and appreciates your praise, which is a powerful way to connect with Him.

3. 1 Chronicles 16:29“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.”

This verse reinforces the call to honor God with our worship and offerings, recognizing His majesty and holiness.

Here are scriptures regarding “stones of remembrance” and other instances when God instructs His people to remember:

1. Stones of Remembrance:

Joshua 4:6-7: “to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones will be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.”

2. Remembering God’s Commands and Acts:

Deuteronomy 6:12: “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”

Psalm 77:11: “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.”

These scriptures underscore the importance of remembering God’s deeds, commands, and acts of deliverance.

Although we weren’t alive to witness firsthand the depth of this fight for freedom, we experienced its effects.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

May we all join in, pray for our nation, and praise God for our freedoms and liberties.
