It is nearly impossible for a breastfeeding mother to forget her infant. She is the source of food and comfort for her little one, and her breasts keep her connected to her little one regardless of the distance. While seeking God’s heart concerning an issue two weeks ago, Isaiah 49:15 was impressed on my heart. […]

Day 5: Made for Relationship
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make Him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18 (KJV) Contrary to popular belief, newborns do not simply smile because they are passing gas. Some developmental theorists propose that the newborn’s smile is a mechanism for survival. That is, the […]
Lessons From Baby’s Milestones
As I reflect on my baby’s milestones, his God-given natural abilities, his periods of frustration and his relentless nature; I am reminded of my need to grow and utilize my spiritual gifts.

It doesn’t matter if you are staying at home, or a working parent, whether you are a parent or not, the struggles become very real the moment you confess […]

Ghosts in the Nursery
We all expect the mother of a newborn to be happy, we expect mothers to not abuse their children, and we always assume mothers will form a healthy bond with their child. Sadly, this isn’t always the case. Some moms struggle with bonding, are depressed, and feel like someone else will be better off mothering their child. Some moms just seem to fail despite telling themselves, “I want something better for my child” or “I don’t want my child to experience what I experienced as a child”. We are always quick to judge these mothers because we don’t know their stories…..
My “Working Mom” Season
As I study infant and early childhood mental health, I realize being a good enough mom is not primarily about the number of hours one spends with the child. It is more about how present one truly is when one is with the child.
Cabbage Weaning Lesson
In case you don’t know, cabbage weaning is a thing. A thing my fitness coach brought to my attention two months ago. Whoever discovered or invented putting cabbage leaves on the breast to help reduce engorgement deserves a Faith Award. How did the woman come up with that? What was she thinking? I find it […]
Ice Cream Lessons
What were we thinking? Yesterday, we gave the little one ice cream at a church event few hours before his bed time. After hours of trying hard to comfort him and put him to sleep, we realized giving him ice-cream was a bad idea. The little one enjoyed the ice-cream experience but it wasn’t worth […]
Breastfeeding and Weaning Tips
I am getting close to reclaiming my boobs. It will no longer be used as a pacifier, midnight snack, daytime comforter, bonding tool, and all the good stuffs associated with breastfeeding. It’s been a slow and steady weaning process for the little one and it has been quite an easy journey for me. I am […]

Postpartum Problems 1
Motherhood truly changes many things. This is an undeniable fact I have come to embrace. However, I have a choice- accept the things I cannot change and courageously change the things I can change. Motherhood has brought to light hidden insecurities and fears I never felt before. I have gone from being military fit to […]
A Walking Testimony
From one step to five steps and finally countless steps, we have been cheering the little one along like the cloud of witnesses. DH and I have been waiting for these days. Honestly, I have been imagining the little one holding my legs while I workout and moving all over the house with HIS OWN […]
Reblog: Don’t Lie To Me!
If you spent two hours after dinner bouncing and shush-shush-shushing a fussy swaddled bundle because the books said it would calm him and please Lord you just need the noise to stop—somebody else shushed, too.
You Are What You Eat,What’s Going IN?
The little one is growing physically because he eats daily. I remember how he learned to latch properly. In fact we both learned how to latch. He lost a lot of weight before we left the hospital because I was not producing enough milk. I was in pain and clueless. I didn’t want him to […]
Ending 2018 With Gratitude Through Baby’s Pictures
As the year comes to an end, I am filled with gratitude to God for 2018. There were moments of disappointments, particularly with birthing my baby. However, I have a lot to be thankful for and I can say God never failed me in 2018. Yes!!
I am ready for 2019. Thanks for visiting this blog, see you next year 🎉🎈🎈🎉🎆🎊
Poop Lesson
Who knew watching and helping another human poop could bring so much happiness, divine revelation and lead to a short prayer!?!? Today, I prayed “Lord help me poop, help me get rid of everything causing discomfort in my life”. I was reminded of God’s desire to help His children (that’s why God sent us the […]
Deception 😟
Deception deception deception!! Believing something false is true. The most unfortunate thing about deception is that we don’t know we are in it. We only realize we were living in deception when we come out of it. We don’t know we are being deceived until we come to our senses and truth is revealed. It’s […]
Milestones Lesson 2: One Reason NOT to Worry About Needs
The changes I have seen the little one go through are pointers to the fact that God knows our needs and He is able to provide all we need exactly when we need them. Teething, babbling, crawling, and other baby milestones occur exactly when they become important. My son’s teeth are not visible at the […]
One Reason Babies Vomit and What I learned From It
The little one threw up twice after feeding. As a professional Googler, I turned to Google to find out why he was vomiting…..
I learned that I shouldn’t expect to receive more gifts/ideas/revelation from God if I am not effectively utilizing or doing all He has deposited in me so far….
What I learned From Goofing Around With The Little One
My baby has presented me with the freedom to be myself without feeling self conscious. I make weird noises and faces to entertain him and it doesn’t matter who is watching or where I am. I just want to communicate with my baby. I don’t care if it makes me look ugly or silly in private or public spaces………..
Lessons From Breastfeeding and Complementary Feeding🍼🥛🍜
My baby’s transition from solely needing breastfeeding/breastmilk to complementary feeding is a call to spiritual growth for me. It also reminds me of the scripture where Paul chastised some believers for not growing spiritually.
