I Will Never Leave You Nor Forsake You

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

I love to read. More specifically, I love to read autobiographies and stories connected to historical events with pivotal moments that reshaped culture, Christianity, the economy, and the world. This passion for history, archaeology, patterns, and people groups constantly drives me to ponder the mindset of individuals during difficult times. I envision the pressure they must have been under, their worries, fears, and worldviews. And now, here we are, living in historical moments that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will read about in history books. Due to my attentiveness to humanity from various eras, their responses, and simple human behavior, I firmly believe that this, too, shall pass and that there is nothing new under the sun.

However, as we observe the state of the world, not just one nation, we cannot ignore the questions, the desire for change, the revival we anticipate within our hearts, and the fears that arise as we navigate the terrains of a world gone rogue.

Let me reassure you with the timeless promise: Yahweh will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Yes, these times are challenging, but we are also on the brink of a mighty harvest and a divine move like never before. We may have read about revivals, reformations, and transformative changes within our faith, but we haven’t seen anything yet. The church is being perfected, and that includes you. We are living in what future generations will describe as history.

What should you do? My dear, we were called for such a time as this (Esther 4:14). It is easy for us to be passive, but like Esther, Jael, Lydia, and many others, it is time to ARISE! You are the creation that all others are waiting for to take your rightful place. You are a soldier in heaven’s army, and we have clear orders as God’s people to humble ourselves, pray, and seek his face (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Grab your sword, which is the word of God, and ARISE!

It’s time to restore the ancient ruins (Isaiah 61:4), live set apart, draw nearer to our Lord, and activate your gifts like never before. Why? Because The Most High God will never leave or forsake us, he has prepared us in advance to do good works. Reflect on Jesus’ words in Matthew 24, where He lists what lies ahead. Amidst all the turmoil, He assures us, “But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13). Let this bring you comfort.

Now more than ever, we must remember this promise! Live with intention, prayerfulness, and eternity in mind. Be fruitful and faithful. Be prayerful and dedicated to the faith. Lay down your earthly weapons, as this battle requires spiritual weapons. We wrestle not against flesh and blood. Season the earth, and return to your first love (Revelation 2:4-5)! Resist the devil’s spirit of division and anger. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, for in Him we find peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

It may be challenging, and if you need resources, recharge yourself with the Word of God, which is powerful, alive, and sharper than a two-edged sword. More specifically, Hebrews 4:12 says:

“The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart.

Understanding how challenging times can bring intense pressure, I encourage you to connect with the Christian Mommas App for resources, meditations, mentorship, and prayer.

Sisters, it’s time to put on and keep on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18) and pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). You can do it! You can be the change needed in your home, community, city, state, and nation. Let us contend for the faith by remaining encouraged, watchful, and prayerful. God is with you, and we are not just victorious in Christ; we have an overwhelming victory! The battle has already been won. We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). No one can conquer us.

Scriptures to Refresh Your Soul:

But in all these things, we overwhelmingly conquer through him who loved us.

Romans 8:37 NASB

I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.

Hebrews 13:

Are you curious about how to live in such tumultuous times? The Apostle Paul encourages us to continue with the truths we were taught and firmly believe in. We must control ourselves in all circumstances, endure suffering, and do the work of a servant of God (2 Timothy 3:14, 2 Timothy 4:5).

Stay encouraged, sisters. God is with us, always. We can laugh without fear of the future (Proverbs 31:25)!
