These days, my car is one of the places I get alone with God. I drown myself in worship songs, laugh, sing and scream like I am insane. My car is also a place of reflection and meditation. Heavy traffic and rude drivers have nothing on me when I am jamming to worship songs.
My pastor said something profound few Sundays ago after a young lady shared a powerful testimony. The lady was led by the Holy Spirit to change her lane while worshiping in her car. Changing her lane didn’t make sense to her because she was on the fastest route to her destination. She changed her lane and shortly after watched a truck or car crash exactly where she moved away from. I think two people died in that accident. The young lady was in tears while sharing the testimony. She was thankful to be alive.
My pastor said she perhaps wouldn’t have heard what the Holy Spirit was saying if she was playing some secular rock and roll music while driving. I agree with him. Our spiritual frequency should be high and connected to our Father in heaven. Doing so is not boring, it is a fun place to be.
Enjoy this powerful song in your car 😉
Psalm 100:2-5 (NIV)
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Have a restful weekend!
What an amazing testimony! I love my worship music, and have even started listening to worship music workout remixes while I lift weights. God is great all the time.
Yes it is amazing! Gospel rap particularly Lecrae’s albums are great for workout. Amen! God is great🙏
My car is one of my favorite places to talk to God. It has everything I need, quiet and seclusion. I turn on one of my Pastor’s powerful messages and begin to allow the Holy Spirit to speak and minister to me.
It is great to know many of us use our cars as worship centers🤭♥️
That’s a great song.
Yes it is! I love the sound of the trumpet.
It’s amazing how God works – I always believe in Him and things happen for a reason! Even when we cannot explain it! I’ll have to remember to try this next time I’m in the car for a long time!
Amen! Thank you for the insightful comment. I hope you remember 🙂
Yay!. Worship does has its wonders. And nowadays I find it hard to reckon with anything other than gospel. Real Gospel Music brings us in tune with Him. And there is just a vibe with music, we can’t joke with it. Wonder why in the account of heaven – its all worship and hallelujah!. 💃
Amen sis. Music touches our souls, and it can take us to the 3rd realm. Music can sow seeds in our heart. I have experienced the negative impact of music, those lyrics are everything. Thank you for the reflective comment. 🙏♥️
True. The lyrics can be something else. More reason why I have tried my best (with His help) to stay clear of the non-gospel songs.
And our hearts are very delicate – it breeds what its being fed.
Glad to sis. ❤
Amen. I do listen to “non-gospel” music with good lyrics. I am up for a lyrically sound, soulful, classical music without profanity and blasphemy 😉
I sing “This little light of mine” in the car to my son a lot. I love car time. Lots of tears, prayers and jam sessions for me too!
Yes momma! I am sure your son hears and he can feel the positive energy. Thank you for the personal comment ♥️
