A Short Christmas Message

Giving to someone who cannot return the favor is one of the most joyful things to do. As parents, we give the gift of time, love, money, and more to our children because that’s what parents do, and most times we expect nothing in return. Especially when our children are developmentally incapable of giving back. We freely give everything to our children until they become independent.

Unlike earthly parents, God does not get tired of giving us what we need. He wants us to always come to Him. In fact, God showed us the depth of His love and willingness to give us every good thing by giving us Jesus. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32 We did not deserve it, and we cannot return the favor. However, we can express gratitude by loving God and loving one another (everyone Jesus died for). It is very simple. This is the Christmas story: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

This is why we celebrate Christmas this season and everyday. You can make this story a personal experience by asking Jesus to reveal Himself to you. Just ask.

Merry Christmas!
