The pain of unmet expectations and unanswered prayers can cause one to question God’s existence and love. This year, I had seasons of disappointment and I briefly entertained the enemy’s lies. Thankfully, God’s Word anchored me. In the valley, God reassured me of his love and presence. When I saw Tasting Dirt: When You’re Disappointed With God by Sara Hall, I knew it was written for me and Christians experiencing “it wasn’t meant to be this way” moments.
This book is for the mom who did not get the birth experience she prayed for. It is for the mom hurting from the pain of miscarriage. This book is for the barren, the anxious and depressed Christians. It is for every hurting soul and the ones who truly want to mourn with those who mourn. This book is for me and you because it reminds us that God cares, God is good, God is not the author of our pain, and God is always there.
Be blessed as you read! This is my last book for the year, I finished reading it today and I am excited to share it with you all. I hope you would make it your first book for the year 2021.

Often in life, the disappointments we see, can become in fact, an appointment from heaven, for the glory of God, and for our own good…
True! Thank you.
