You are a Proverbs 31 Woman

When we deeply desire spiritual revelation and take the time to search the scriptures, the Holy Spirit will open the eyes of our understanding and cause us to behold wondrous things in God’s Word. That’s what God is doing in my life this season, and I pray it will never stop. I pray that I will not worship the revelation I am receiving and the spiritual gifts being stirred up in me.

The Proverbs 31 Woman has always been a mystery to me for a long time until I took on the challenge to unveil this mysterious woman. God began to open my eyes of understanding in August 2022 during a Bible study meeting with women in the Christian Mommas Mentorship-Discipleship Program. I realized that being a Proverbs 31 Woman is about living up to God’s standard through the Holy Spirit, being spiritually intelligent, and mastering the art of warfare.

Here is my first teaching on the Proverbs 31 Woman.

Since then, the light keeps getting brighter…..It inspired me to write this 3-day plan where I shared more insight into Proverbs 31:15, 18, & 21. Enjoy the preview, explore the plan, and share it with your loved ones.

Reading Plan Preview: Day 1

Reading about a Proverbs 31 woman can leave one feeling inadequate. However, our feelings should never force us to settle for less. When God shows us a standard, it is because he has given us the capacity to meet the standard, and we can look to God for the grace to do His will.

I believe exploring the Proverbs 31 Woman’s spiritual life can eliminate intimidation and help us see that we already possess what it takes to be a Proverbs 31 Woman, a spirit being and spiritual weapons. As we study and embrace the spiritual practices of the Proverbs 31 Woman, we will be empowered to manifest our identity as women or parents without limits.

Weapon 1: Spirituality and Partnership with the Holy Spirit

She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. Proverbs 31:18 (KJV)

To perceive reflects spiritual discernment and the Holy Spirit gives us the capacity to discern. Merchandise is goods we can sell or buy. Proverbs 23:23 (KJV) says, Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. Using Proverbs 23:23 to interpret this scripture, we can say that a Proverbs 31 woman invests in things of eternal value, not selling what she values. If you are reading this and prioritizing your spiritual growth, you are buying truth, the most valuable resource. And to keep the truth protected in your heart, you must stay spiritually alert.

The Proverbs 31 woman’s candle does not go out by night. This indicates spiritual alertness. Proverbs 20:27 tells us the spirit of a man is the candle of the Lord. To stay spiritually awake, our spirit must commune with God’s spirit. It is the core of spiritual intelligence. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit heightens our understanding of God’s Word, which is an essential key to accessing and effectively using all our spiritual weapons. Only a relationship with the Holy Spirit can keep us spiritually sensitive, empowering us to identify and effectively use spiritual weapons to navigate life triumphantly.

Today, I invite you to ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Give a special welcome to the Holy Spirit by telling Him to help you grow in your relationship with Him.
