You May Need a Diaper Change

Most babies become uncomfortable, irritable, and cry when they need a diaper change. They do not like being stuck in a mess. You shouldn’t either. In addition, pulling on/at a soiled diaper is a major sign that a child is ready for potty training. A child who does not find a soiled diaper uncomfortable is difficult to potty-train. These facts about diaper change and potty training show that we were naturally created to desire something new and make progress. They show that seasons of discomfort can launch us into a new season of glory, and they provide opportunities for us to grow in faith.

When next you feel uncomfortable in any area of your life, it may be time for a diaper change. It may be time for something new, a time to transition or level-up. Do not get stuck in vulnerability. Accept seasons of discomfort as seasons of growth, and surrender yourself to God for training. Let God show you how to properly get rid of that mess just like we potty-train little children.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. ~ 2 Corinthians 4:7

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. ~ James 1:4

Stay blessed! 🙂
