If fathers were not uniquely important in the lives of children, we would not need them for procreation. However, there is more to fatherhood than procreation. Fathers uniquely discipline and comfort their children. 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NIV) says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort” This scripture brings comfort and it serves as an example for earthly fathers.
Today, Let’s pray for our children’s father and other fathers in our lives.
