Tokophobia

Tokophobia is the fear of childbirth. With access to overwhelming information and unpleasant stories about childbirth, many women become anxious and fearful about childbearing. Once upon a time, a very old woman conceived and bore a child for the first time (Genesis 21) by faith.

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Hebrews 11:11 (KJV)

Like Sarah, expecting Christian mothers can put their faith in God and judge Him faithful to finish the good work He has started. You can trust God for a positive childbearing experience. This scripture just came alive in my spirit today. Never again will I tolerate fear in childbirth! We can trust the God who created our body and specially designed the female body for childbearing. Have faith in God!

Yes, think about Abraham, your ancestor, and Sarah, who gave birth to your nation. Abraham was only one man when I called him. But when I blessed him, he became a great nation.” Isaiah 51:2 (NLT)
