And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Luke 1:39-45 (KJV)
Filled with the Holy Spirit, Elizabeth uttered prophetic words and blessed Mary. Elizabeth’s prophetic words confirmed what God told Mary. And Mary sang in response to Elizabeth’s words…A prophetic interaction and spiritual synergy of power and love.
Every interaction with spiritually minded people encourages and strengthens one’s faith. Even when spiritually minded people provide correction, we will experience hope and deep love.
Elizabeth celebrated Mary’s unique/prophetic assignment. Spiritually minded people celebrate God’s unique gift and assignment for everyone because their greatest desire is to see God’s will established. Carnally minded people are envious and bitter; they can’t celebrate God’s goodness in others. Like Elizabeth, spiritually minded people speak edifying words because they are filled with the Holy Spirit and God’s prophetic words. Gossiping and using careless words is the nature of the carnal man. We must bridle our tongue and yield this powerful part of the human body to the Holy Spirit. If we want to stirr up our prophetic gifts and attract divine relationships, let’s start with character and tongue transformation.
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Ephesians5:3-5 (KJV)
As we grow spiritually and explore spiritual gifts, we will find ourselves in need of divine relationships. Ask God to align you with relationships that will strengthen your spiritual gifts and help fulfill God’s prophetic agenda for your life and household. Pray for those who misunderstand you or belittle your prophetic assignment.
