Call to Prayer 2

Thank you all for joining the call to prayer for children in our communities. So far, over 1000 people have subscribed for this prayer devotional within the past 7 days and 200 + have completed the devotional. Intercession must continue beyond this season. If you are a Christian, you are Christ’s ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20) and praying “thy will be done on earth” is your responsibility (Matthew 6:10). I pray for the grace to pray fervently this season and beyond.

I love you all.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. James 5:16-18 (NIV)

Here is a sample of Day 3:

The Spirit of Herod

The spirit of Herod seeks to terminate the lives of children. The agenda of this evil spirit is to prevent children from fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives. When Jesus was born, Herod wanted to kill Him because he did not want Jesus to fulfill His purpose. Herod did not care if Jesus was an innocent or harmless baby.

Matthew 2:16 (NIV) says,

“Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men.”

Little babies, born or unborn, have great destinies (Psalm 139:13-18; Jeremiah 1:5). The enemy’s agenda is to kill, steal, and destroy; to prevent children from fulfilling God’s plan for their lives (John 10:10). God’s will is to keep children alive and our responsibility is to pray God’s will be done.

Pray against the operation of this spirit with understanding and pray in tongues if you can (1 Corinthians 14:14-15).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for making us overcomers by the death and resurrection of Jesus. Merciful God, you are mighty to save and deliver! You delivered Jesus from Herod. There is nothing too difficult for you. You reign over all the earth and the lives of children are precious to you. Arise oh Lord and let your enemies be scattered (Psalm 68:1). Father, we decree your judgment against everyone seeking to destroy the lives of children in this city. Oh Lord, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end and establish your righteousness in this city and nation (Psalm 7:9). Father, let every law and policy designed to destroy the lives of children in this city be exposed and reversed in the name of Jesus. In a season of prayer and fasting, you reversed the decree that was designed to destroy Esther and the Jews (Esther 6&7). Let every law designed to destroy the lives of our children be reversed. Have mercy on us and let righteousness prevail. Thank you for answering these prayers. In Jesus’ name.

Would you like to become a member of God’s family? Please say the prayer below and let me know about it here.

Say this: Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe you exist and you sent Jesus to die for me. I receive your love and forgiveness. Reveal yourself to me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen

Welcome to God’s family!

  1. powerful imagery and prayer – I was seeing the Lord protecting the baby Moses and him being ‘found’ by the Egyptian princess… all part of His bigger picture.
