Last week, I caught myself telling the little one, “You are wasting your time.” I repented and spoke life over the little one by declaring, “You will not waste your time.” I have written a lot about speaking life over our children, but I found myself not practicing what I preach.
I shared my shortcoming to let you know that I do not always get things right. I do not write because I have mastered everything. I am learning and becoming who God wants me to be.
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2 (NIV)
To my fellow Christian bloggers: Next time you feel unworthy to share a post because you are yet to master what you have written, I hope you will remember that you are becoming like Jesus and He has called you worthy to share the Good News.
To every parent: Keep speaking life over your children. When you fail and the Holy Spirit convicts you, repent and accept correction.
